Halloween 2007
I can't believe it. We are already halfway through October. I have many memories of past Octobers, especially being little around Halloween.
I remember in kindergarten being a Princess Jasmine. My mom sewed my outfit and I felt like one of the coolest girl ever. We had a big party and my mom made some yummy cupcakes.
I also remember being a bride and I had a cute outfit and even a vail!
After that, the years after we went to goodwill and bought old dresses and got dressed up with them. It was a lot of fun.
Some other things I remember from Halloween throughout the years:
*Picking out pumpkins at a local farm
*Buying a 50lb pumpkin and putting it on our roof with a hula skirt as it's hair
*Kali eating those huge seeds from the 50lb pumpkin and her getting 'blocked up'
*Waking up after Halloween ever year to see someone smashed our pumpkins which we worked so hard on carving.
*April cutting her hand the night we carved pumpkins. She didn't start crying when she cut it, but when it started bleeding, which resulted in going to the ER and stitches.
*Watching Charlie Brown The Great Pumpkin
*Driving about 15mins to get some famous popcorn balls my mom loves
*Getting 2 full pillowcases of candy that I ate in about 2 months
This year, I have no clue on what I'm going to do for Halloween. Maybe dress up and go out with my little brother and get some free candy. Or hand out candy at my apartment. I don't know yet, but I know either way, I'm going to have myself some fun, while I'm still young.

My Move
Wow! I went through a very busy Sunday on Sunday August 29, 2007. It was the day I was moving into my first apartment. I woke up nice and early and my mom made omelets with ham and onion and cheese, toast, and orange juice. It was a nice way to start out the day that was coming.
First we started loading up the things that were in the garage and we didn't put in the house because of their size. The box spring, frame, dresser, computer desk, and entertainment center all got loaded up in the back of the trailer. In the back of my dad's truck, we loaded up my good "deal" free table that I found on the side of the road (in very good condition). We also decided in taking the Burb, or suburban as you may know it. We filled that up with all of my kitchen appliances, the stereo, the vacuum and of course, the TV.
And we were off...well kind of. My dad left earlier because he knew it was going to take longer to get there with a big trailer hitched to his truck. My mom and I got in the car (me driving which she didn't seem in favor of one bit) and off we went.
When we arrived there My dad was ready to go. When my mom walked in the apartment she said, "Wow, this is nice!" and I agreed with her and told her that's why I got it!
After everything was unloaded we headed back to Evansville to watch the 12 Packer game, which my boyfriend insisted that we watched it. I complied and they ended up winning (4-0 baby!) We got a HUGE sub from the gas station called All-In-One. It was delicious!
After that, we loaded everything else up that needed to go. (Which was way more than I'd expected). My mom couldn't help on the second trip because she needed to go shopping with my younger sister, April. That kind of disappointed me because I wanted to see her a little bit more. But being a daughter of a mom who has 4 other kids besides you, you learn that you're not always going to have them all the time. However, my little brother, Louka, replaced my mom and we were off again. We got everything unloaded and were starving. I decided to treat everyone to Taco Johns, a new food place here in Janesville. Louka didn't take one bite and he just played with his toy car the whole time.
I went back home one last time so that I could take a shower (my electricity couldn't be turned on until the next day). I took my shower, said my goodbyes and headed off to Janesville. I had to stop at Wal-Mart first though so that I could buy a lantern so I could see during the night.
Overall, my move went pretty smooth. It's a really nice place here and if I had the chance to do this all over again I would.
